One-off houses and new dwellings, from the dig to the door handles
A new build is the whole of our trade list in one project: setting out, foundations, drainage, structure, roof, first and second fix, and the finishes that decide how the house feels to live in. Matt runs it from the dig to the door handles, so there is one person accountable for the programme rather than six subcontractors pointing at each other.

More room, built so it looks like it was always there
Most of the houses around Sevenoaks are worth extending rather than leaving. We build single and two-storey extensions, rear and side returns, and loft extensions — matching brick, render, tile and roofline so the addition reads as part of the original house instead of something bolted on the back.

Complete house renovations are some of our favourite work: structure, roof, damp, rewire, replumb, insulation, plaster and finishes, all planned as one job rather than a decade of patching. A client who has seen two of ours described them as very high quality, integrating modern technology.

Serious buildings, converted without losing what made them worth converting
A barn conversion is the most demanding thing a small builder can take on and the most rewarding to hand over. We stabilise and repair the existing frame, insulate and weatherproof it to modern standards, and cut in glazing and services without turning a beautiful agricultural building into a bungalow with beams.

Proper buildings at the end of the garden, not flat-pack sheds
A garden room built properly is an extra room; built cheaply it is a cold shed you stop using in November. We build insulated, powered, year-round garden rooms on real foundations, with timber cladding and roof details chosen to weather well rather than to look good for one summer.

Groundworks and landscaping is one department at Pinewood, because it is one problem: where the water goes. Foundations, drainage, retaining structures and service runs under the building; driveways, patios, steps, paths and planting around it — all set out to fall correctly and detailed to stay put.

The last five per cent everyone actually looks at
Interior finishes are what we specialise in and the reason clients come back for a second project. Staircases and balustrades, bespoke joinery, herringbone and plank flooring, plaster, kitchens, bathrooms and decoration — the last five per cent of a build that ninety-five per cent of the judgement lands on.

Most projects that go badly went wrong on paper. Our home design and planning service takes an idea — more space, a barn to convert, a plot to build on — and works it into a layout, a set of drawings and a planning and building regulations route, with a builder's view of what it will cost to actually build.
