How we work

Four stages, and you know where you are at every one.

A build is a large thing to hand to a stranger. Here is exactly how a project runs with Pinewood Construction — who does what at each stage and what you get back — so there are no unknowns before you pick up the phone.

01

A look at the property, and an honest answer

Matt comes out, walks the site with you and tells you what the building will and will not take. If a project is not worth doing the way you have imagined it, you will hear that at the first visit rather than three months in.

What you get at this stage

A visit from Matt, an honest read on what the property will take, and the option you probably hadn’t considered.

02

Design, drawings and permissions

Where a scheme needs drawings, planning or building regulations approval, we work through it with you — our own home design and planning service, or alongside your architect and structural engineer. You get a scope and a realistic programme before anyone lifts a tool.

What you get at this stage

A defined scope, a route through planning and building regulations, and a realistic programme before anyone starts.

03

The build — clean, tidy, and on time

Groundworks, structure, roof, first and second fix, finishes. Clients name the same two things every time: timekeeping, and a work area kept clean and tidy. Both are choices we make daily, not happy accidents.

What you get at this stage

A tidy site, a predictable start time, and an early phone call rather than a late excuse if something moves.

04

Snagging and handover

We walk the finished project with you, list anything that is not right and put it right before we call it done. Then you get the paperwork, the certificates from our specialists, and a builder who still answers the phone.

What you get at this stage

A snagging walk-round, everything on the list put right, and one set of certificates from every specialist trade.

Stage two — working the scheme out on paper, where changes are still cheap
